After working in the fashion industry for more than 20 years, Suk Chan was tired, stressed and exasperated. In a moment of pure exhaustion and a true desire to change her life, Suk mentioned to a friend that she wanted to do something easy and fun, like making candles.

Her friend started sending her links on how to make candles, and so began Suk’s journey into the art and craft of candle making – thus, Soukenberi was born.

Around the same time, Suk came upon the chance of a lifetime - to do research and development for a yet-to-be-built hotel in Las Vegas. She was developing fragrances for their turndown service when she was inspired to create body care products to accompany her candle collection. They just seemed to go hand-in-hand.

Today, the Soukenberi line of candles, home fragrances and body care includes unique, sensuous and sophisticated scents, all rooted in the four pillars inspired by its spa origins; calm, relax, uplift and rejuvenate.
